Hi, I’m Zanessa Kastler! I’m honored to walk alongside individuals, couples, and families on their journey toward emotional healing and personal growth. With nearly a decade of experience as a Social Worker, Mentor, Counselor, and Supervisor, I’ve had the privilege of helping people discover hope, strength, and peace through life’s challenges.
My therapeutic approach is compassionate and creative, blending evidence-based practices with expressive tools that invite healing from the inside out. I incorporate:
- EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing): Effective for trauma recovery.
- Sand Tray Therapy: Creative methods allowing children and adolescents to express themselves.
- Music and Expressive Arts Therapy: Utilizing my background in music education, I create an environment for emotional expression and healing.
I hold a Master of Social Work from New Mexico Highlands University and am licensed as a Clinical Social Worker Supervisor (LCSW-S) in both Texas and New Mexico. I’m also certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), equipping me to support youth and families in navigating trauma safely and effectively.
Outside of the counseling room, I’m married to a talented musician and worship leader, and together we’re raising six amazing children—all 11 and under! We seek to parent in the presence and believe in grace and restoration in cultivating family connection, communication, and creative collaboration.
As a supervisor, I love working with mothers seeking to advance their career in social work, as well as upcoming clinicians who need private practice mentorship and growth opportunities!
If you’re ready to begin your journey toward healing and wholeness, or as a supervisee, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
